I have had the pleasure of shooting quite a few elopements at the Laguna Hills Civic Center and I think it’s a great place to have a civil ceremony in Orange County! It can be hard to know what you need to do for an intimate wedding like this, so let’s go over everything you need to know about having a Laguna Hills elopement.
First and foremost, we have to make sure it’s legal! You’ll need a marriage license and a witness present. I have been a witness for ceremonies at the Civic Center many times — I’m always ready with my ID! For all the details on getting your marriage license, click here.
The ceremony will be brief, and can be indoors or outdoors. But no matter where your ceremony is, the grounds are perfect for wedding photos. The architecture style and palm trees just scream “California!” I’ve had clients fly in to get married here, so you know it’s beautiful!
Most Laguna Hills elopements will be during the week, due to their operating hours. They have very few Saturday slots, so if you want one, make sure you plan well in advance! The Civic Center also only has a few appointment options per day in order to keep your ceremony as private as possible. You can invite up to 20 people to attend your intimate wedding, so you’re still able to share this small ceremony with your closest family & friends if you’d like!
As a Laguna Beach elopement photographer, I know all the best spots for taking portraits, and I can provide you with vendor info for a florist, if necessary. You don’t have to have a bouquet or a boutonniere, but if you want them, I can help you make it happen!
Something I find people often forget when planning their elopement is planning something fun after. We can take photos on the beach, or even at the In & Out or Chick-fil-A that is down the street!
Having an elopement in Laguna Hills is not only intimate and beautiful, it also allows you to skip over the stress of planning something big & elaborate. If that sounds like what you’re looking for, and you need a photographer, let’s chat!
